Smith & Wesson 581 (no dash), rare model similar to the 586 but with fixed sights. The revolver is in excellent condition with immaculate bluing and tight cylinder lock-up. The factory recall work on the firing-pin area has been completed. When cocked very slowly, the cylinder is slightly out of time, but two gunsmiths say it’s not an issue during normal operation. A new hand fitting would cost about $165 at Cylinder & Slide if desired. Comes with aggressive VZ grips.Â
